First of all didn’t know if this story has been posted or not. Even if not posted then whether this is the right place. Anyway, here’s the thing Rapidshare.de is giving free premium accounts. But there are rules/caveats :-
RapidShare - Free premium-account
Get your own free Premium-Account and become a part of the daily growing RapidShare-Community! The access-data will be sent to your given e-mail address. There are 4178 free premium-accounts left! So hurry up!
This account will be valid for 2 days and will not be deleted after those 2 days. You can extend your account month by month for free by uploading files and collecting premium-points. You get points as soon as someone downloads your files. We will delete expired accounts after 45 days. This means, you have whole 47 days to collect 10000 points. You can upload new files all the time to collect even more points.
So this might be good for people who like rapidshare or file-sharing quite a lot. methinks they’re feeling quite bit of heat from bittorrent people

Last night Rapidshare had a promo going, giving away free accounts..so i signed up for 4-5 accounts. THey are valid till Tuesday or Wedn. only..

Just get the link of the file you want, click premium, sign in with that user and pwd…and leech using flashget/dap/getright with resume and no hourly limits!

another thing, the rapidshare free account idea is that u take the a/c & upload the some files to the server which if other people download then one gets points which in turn gets u access to the premium a/c without paying top dollar.
Now to fulfill that either upload pROn, copyrighted hacked games or something like tht. All free software usually have sourceforge or their own mirrors so they don’t need this. Of course corporates can use such sites but then they usually don’t have money issues & I’m sure they would have access to more professional tools, look etc. There are supposed to be unofficial tools which claim to be better at uploading, downloading but haven’t tried them hence have no idea. And guys just head over to rapidshare with some download link & u’ll see the banner for free rapidshare a/c atleast tht was the case yesterday night. I had filed the same story but it just disappeared while dipdude had approved it. That’s life I guess

I don’t know if the a/c signups are still open but a good way would be to use a rapidshare download link. Just before downloading there should be a rapidshare red big icon on the top. Click on that & it’ll ask u’r mail id & some stuff. Fill the details & activate the a/c from the mail id. U’re good to go for the next 48 hrs. Hope tht answers the query.
