The camry is 21.82L ex-showroom.. So how much would OTR be?
@vij : I checked out the space in the Alitis with our older car right next to it. 3 of us sat on the rear seat of the Altis and then our car and the difference in space is noticeable.
The Altis maybe a wider on the outside but inside it definately has less headroom n shouldroom although the rear legroom is the same.
And i checked the fuel consumption on the car’s mutifunction display…so either display was screwed or the car really doesnt have great fuel economy.
But then this was a new car + a test car so the fuel economy is going to take a hit but i dont think its going to be 12kmpl as claimed by the reps…
The new Accord looks aristocratic but huge size…whether we buy or not..im sure gng to drag my family to test drive it this saturday
^ The auto is mind-numbingly good.
They could have tweaked the manual for more torque though. Doesn’t really give you the pull, but that baby can rev, push it close to the red-line and it takes off!
Have not yet gone to showroom but more or less locked Embera CRDI.
The dealer is quoting 16.73 on Road. Good price… but wonder if one can push for higher discounts…
Test drove Altis. The car is nice but definitely not exchange worthy for a Corolla owner…
The rear space seems the same…actually with the lower roof it feels bit more cramped compared to the older corolla. The logan has a tad more width on the inside compared to the Altis…That being said the rear space is decent and at par with the older corolla except for the slighty reduced headroom. Styling is decent and contemporary…While they claim 11-12kmpl in city the indicator showed a poor 8.7…
The steering and handing is very good… the flat floor is a welcome addition. The wooden fittings are nice to look at but feels cheaper than it looks…
No stock…It seems Emberra CRDI is not available for display anywhere and upon full confirmation of order they will get it in a container.
I asked for a test drive of atleast petrol Embera and they are dilly dallying me…
Same case with 3 dealers in blr. They dont seem interested in selling this car. I was so so interested… My enthusiasm is wearing off…
Dude why dont you look into something else …how about Honda Civic???
Embera CRDI seems a more practical choice. Its a segment higher[although comparable in price]… better backseat comfort/space… Superb CRDI engine…
Personaly I also feel that the Embera has a royal presence… only thing it lacks is snob value. Anyways lets see.
optra magnum ?
Toyota tried hard to match Civic in terms of design, even sent back the car for redesigning, but alas, could’nt beat the Civic.
Altis is a boring car, more suitable for aged people, its not just a youngsters car. Also, the “hot” factor is missing.
