… maybe a solution would be to copy the files to a partition, boot to dos and install. If you have an external hard drive available you could do it from someone elses computer.

Friends, prob solved finally. Changed my Dvd r/w and now its all ok.
Bt still confused regarding the r/w, it burns both cds dvds perfectly and also reads them in windows. Then how come theres problem during the setup???

You guys have gone in a complete wrong way to diagnose the issue. If you had actually looked into the txtsetup.sif i guess you would have found the answer. probably that line contains a wrong parameter for the unattended setup. It may work right on the hardware for which the unattended setup was created for, but may or may not work for the other hardware if that line contained a hardware specific parameter. Anyways, good to know that it worked after changing the DVD drive. probably that parameter got loaded right for that DVD drive you have there
