too bad they didn’t get a gtx or ultra.
ya so i feel ill stick to 8800gt 512
wat only 2-8frames diff between the 8800gt and the 8800gts 512mb i seriously doubt it
These are DX9 WinXp benchmarks.
Playable framerates at high settings @1280x1024 only. :no:
This card won’t do justice to Crysis DX10 at high resolution considering 20" 22" LCD widespread use.
SLI or Crossfire setup absolute necessity for Crysis now.
That performance with a quad core ?? … was expecting much more tbh …
the card is not out yet.. so lets see what those big companies can do with this new high end G92 8800GTS 512 … i think after a few driver updates it will surely can beat the fastest card on the earth i.e. 8800 Ultra in all respect… also it is pretty sure now that bus bandwidth (256bit compare to 384bit in 8800 gtx/ultra) and memory size (only 512mb compare to 768mb) doesn’t really play any big role in real time performance… even in higher resolution it can tie with any 8800 gtx/ultra… now the point goes to price aspect… how can be its price/performance goes along with newly released 8800gt… i wanna eagerly looking forword for the true comparison of the cards of nvidia 8800GT/8800GTS 640/8800GTS 512 G92/8800GTX/8800Ultra… i think this would be the tightest battle ever revealed in the high end performance stream… also i like to inlcude ATI3870/2900 in the battle… this wud be a great fun to see all this new giants in their real war… cheers!!!
with all the past experience it can be stated u can put those cards like performance wise :
8800GTS 640<8800GT 512<=8800GTX<8800Ultra
price wise:
8800GT 512<8800GTS 640<8800GTX<8800Ultra
now its time to see where this new 8800GTS 512 G92 can be placed…
