A thought about "Get New Posts"

Let me preface this by saying this is an opinion only, and and honest observation and is not intended to start any arguments flames or otherwise unpleasant conversation :slight_smile:

I have noticed that the Market section seems to be doing exceedingly well, so congrats to those involved both making money and finding the things they need.

The thing I have noticed though…

And this is particularly coming from the point of view of someone that does not live in India, so has not a lot of need to buy items there.

The Market section posts have become as frequent as all the other posts together and I would guess that they now make up about 35-50-% of the new posts in general.

Although this is not a bad thing (especially if you are searching for or selling products) It makes it a good deal more tedious to sift through the posts that come up after using the Get New Posts button.

So I thought maybe there is a way to…

  1. Change the search nature of the Get New Post Button to include new posts that do not have any posts from the Market Section… AND

  2. To have a Get New Post Button JUST for the Market section.

Anyway what do you guys think… good idea or bad idea :slight_smile:

Since the major traffic is Indian, maybe we cannot replace the link, but you can use this link for new post(save as bookmark)

@Safin…Yes thanks this IS great, I appreciate it and will use it all the time…

Just for the sake of discussion though… and to play (as the expression goes) the Devils Advocate… I would imagine that even people living in India are not always in the market for products and will still have to sift through a lot of “Market” posts :wink:

or..allow a user to set exclusions in their profile.

Default is enabled of course.

yeah it doesnt work…and even i second the idea..of a new posts button without market section thingie ..cause its not every day i look for stuff in the market section..

if not a new post button..a link which works ..will also ..be great !

Thanks … greenhorn… it’s soooooooo nice to have this link working again… it’s such a pain to sift through all the extra stuff, I end up with 3 times as many pages from “Get New Posts”
