i bought the Abit IP35-E mobo. i am planning to buy E8400 this weekend. our TE Guru’s told me that updating the mobo to latest bios will support E84XX proccy. I dont know what version of bios is in the mobo currently. I have silly doubt:D . how do I flash the bios if the proccy itself it not detected?:S or will I be able to atleast boot?
you will need to use a Old proccy to boot…and flash the Bios
well it aleast thts how i do it…dunno if it can be done without a proccy 
ah man… i guess i’ll have to take it to a pc assembler and do it… my old pentium 4 is also not supporting
bought the ip35-e with the E8400 a month back. not bothered to update bios. system is working perfectly…
See the bios it ships with. Just check the BIOS flash EEPROM chip to see a sticker with BIOS. Usually its loaded with v12 bios which is fine for E8400.YOu can upgrade to latest 15 bios later
16 Final is out now Supra, but I like 16 beta 1, no FSB reset.
Ya I was talking abt 16 only…mis wrote it to bve 15 :P…I am on 16 beta 1 as well :)…FSB reset is there though on both beta & final is power is left off for more than 6-7 hrs

i bought an IP35E 10 days back it came with Bios 15 ..i later updated to 16
