If I order one online… where will it come from?
If I need to send it for repairs… where do I send it to?
If I need to get it repaired on-site where do the engineer’s come from?
If I need to buy a spare part… where do I buy it from?

no offense, but haven’t you been asking these questions for ages now?
if you want a desktop, for heaven’s sake, go get it from your neighborhood assembler…
if you plan to buy it from a dependable brand like dell, rest assured that they will not send it from some obscure corner of the world (dell will ship it from Malaysia or chennai)
and if you run into probs, the service engineer will come down to your house (Dell has a contract for service with wipro)
as for service parts, there is no rocket science involved here…dell will provide you parts within warranty and out of warranty, depending on your location, the local hardware market will have any/every spare available
