I want inensive coaching in ADVANCED EXCEL & aptech is charging 2500/- for that?
Is the price worth for that or any book would serve the purpose to coach myself?
Please advise with any other source to learn advanced excel as i want to learn each and every function of excel to work on my projects.
wow! techie that was really helpful…i didnt know that!..‘google’ hmmmm…heard that for the first time!..& wat is it that i’m surfing this forum on..lemme guess…yes! its the ‘internet’ yipeeeeeeeeeeeee…all my problems r solved!
On a serious note, please advise guys!
Basically i need excel to work on sales and mktg projects e.g to make bussiness plans.
^^^^ nice sarcasm by the way. but best thing is that any online tutorial etc shud be sufficient. so long as you can find ur way around a comp n the net (which u ve just told me u can), u shud b able to get wat u need n practice
these courses are useless n just a money waster in my opinion. there u have it folks :cool2: feel free to quote, copyrighted under the creative commons license
hmmm, will think on that techie.
I have got hold of a book called ‘advanced excel 2007’, but the problem arises when u have doubts, then at that point u need some expert guide.
Ok, my earlier post was not that helpful. What I would suggest you would be to make a list of things that you will be using Excel for. Once you make that, you will have a better idea on what features you would have to use (even if you dont have much of any idea here, this is where google will help you).
Based on the above info you can take up the most important things and start working. Im sure there are forums for getting help on Excel. There will be a global pool of gurus to help you
Im pretty skeptical on the abilities of your aptech excel guru. I dont want to just have an impression without knowing it, but overall experience tends towards thinking that way. But if you feel that its definitely going to help you, go ahead and join the course.
These are jus the random things that i came across while briefly searching..Hope u know understand wat techie meant by "use the net n the power of google"
Edit:- DO NOT join aptech or niit or any such institute, its total waste of time..
I also came across links on www.ebookee.com,infact i posted my query after all that web search, but my main purpose was opinion of members on coaching classes such as aptech whether as to join them or not.
I totall agree with this. I joined Aptech for VB+SQL and the faculty was just teaching the basic stuff which I had done on my own at home at that time. When I asked for more advanced stuff, the faculty was unaware of most of the stuff!!! :@ My 5K down the drain!!!
I seriously doubt that any of the faculty will be expert in Excel. It’s better do it on ur own by Trial-n-Error method (the best way to learn). I learned many advanced features of Excel in my Office by experimenting and some help from colleagues (Banking domain, they were experts in Excel).
If you have some issues while learning, u can always post on this forum. The Gurus will be ready to help u out!!!
