Here is a review of the case

Its an overpriced fugly POS :P. If i had the money, i’d buy the silverstone TJ-03. Now thats a case :). But then 250$+ is out of my reach :frowning:

you took the words right out of my mouth
I like the Lian Li V1000 Plus (doesnt look that good as the TJ-03) better than the TJ-03. Its priced at $220
I sure both you can me can borrow some mulla from the ““mask fund”” and buy these cases :stuck_out_tongue:

posted the pics of this cabinet long time ago at TA.
Its plain crap from inside too. So cramped.
And costs at freakin 9750.

Probably u are talking abt the PC-V2000A. Thats a full tower like the TJ-03 and costs around 220$. The V1000/1100 is a mid tower. The 2100 is amazing though… both in looks and features but just like the TJ-03, it costs a bomb :frowning:

I read somewhere that Silverstone was started by ex-employees of Cooler Master - Is that a fact ?

Yup the ATCS division of coolermaster left the company and formed silverstone.

Thanks for the confirmation. And a real good job these Silverstone guys have done with their cases - great cases !!!

I heard that the last design this team did for CoolerMaster was the Wave Master case you use.

$250 us is about 11k right ? think that was what itdepot charged for the wavemaster black when they first imported it

Well the wavemaster was 200$ then in the states as well ;). But well looking at the current prices… 118$ for the blue one, 119$ for the yellow one and 128$ for the silver one, 7250 that they charge here is still a pretty penny :).

Yes 11k was what I was quoted in August 04 - way too much - I bought a cheaper case at that time - the Antec P160 for 10K (price with an extra Antec 120mm fan) :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

i got the black for 10k .. still wonder if it was worth it

I have never been convinced with what I think is the Wavemasters cooling ability. Its not just that it uses 80mm fans - its mainly that the air inlets dont look enough to me - I may be wrong. My P160’s absolutely open front (after I removed the air filter) really lets in a lot of fresh air with its 120mm fan.

I was personally doubtful about the WM myself when it came to the front intake.
but it turned out to be a nice one. There is mesh of holes behine the WM logo plate. And they have designed it perfectly. All air is sucked in from there. And holes are not too small but also hidden.
And thats why CM implimented 2x80mm fans on front insted of 120MM to utilise this vertical area with 2 fans.

sometimes i leave the lower door of the wavemaster open.. no worries about blocked intakes then .. plus i’m using a 80mm silverstone fan that spins @ 5500 rpm and its great for bringing down the ambient temps

This is what the front of my Antec P160 looks like now (sorry for poor picture - I use a very old digital camera) - this will give you an idea of how my 120mm fan is open to air in the front. I have 3 120mm fans in my case.

Where is the pic

edit Pic Added…

THAT fan must sound like a vacuum cleaner :open_mouth:

hehe its ok at full speed surprisingly.. when i reduce the speed to say 3k rpm or so theres an annoying whine. most of the time its at the lowest setting around 1.5k rpm and its barely audible then

thats coz of the resonanse factor i think :stuck_out_tongue:
but dude, this is way way off topic :stuck_out_tongue:
