I need a AGP graphics card…i can any one tell what is the best AGP card available now at Chennai??

go for a cheap board + pcie card , even if you have to reduce your gfx card budget a bit

agp is outdated still if u want one go for a 2nd hand 7600gt…wud personally suggest to get a mbo cpu…amd 4000+ n jetway 690g…

my card has warranty left…and it is ddr3 memory…6800xt available has ddr memory so u all can understand my point regarding performance…
a new budgt pcix dx10 sys[proc+mobo+ram+cheapo-“ddr1/2”-gfx card :P]…would cost him near 10k…and that wont b the value for $ for him coz of low endness of those product…those product cant handle full dx10 glory…i know even not mine but with this card he can extract some more juice from his system…it might last him2, 3 years if he is not a mad gamer like me and u😒 …

and i quoted 3400/-..which i thought i fare enough since agp card of agp 8x is costlier then its pci exp part…means 6600gt pciX is 2500 k max then agp 6600 gt is 3500/- max and i quoted 3400/- shipped…
post your budget and rest pc spec as well otherwise no1 can recommend anything… but in my opinion for AGP new buying dont spend anything more than 3.5-4K otherwise it will be a bad VFM deal…

my 6600 gt will beat it any day coz of its gddr3 memory…where as 7300 gt has ddr2 memory which way slower then gddr3 and has 512 mb which might actualy decrease performence intead of increasing it…
and if u find any good deal in new agp card let me know…i might order one for me too…
no it is not good for value for money even if u get 3 year worrenty…i think b4 it worenty is over u might want to have new system rather incapable agp system…a second hand agp card might give u more value for money then a new less performer one…my card has 1 year wornety left…

mine was 6800gt agp 256mb with 32gb bandwidth
it was 256 bit Gddr3 memory n lot faster than ur card..
even beats 7600gt in doom3…
6600gt pcie can fetch max 2k.
ur willing 2 spend 10k for an outadated tech…good lord!!!
do this instead…sel ur old config…shud fetch u minimum of 2k with cpu+mobo…ddr1 ram prices are high now so selling dat will even fetch u more…lets say u got a decent deal for 3k all total…now ur budget stands at 13k…
wait for a few days…the 9600gt official launch is few hrs away…even if u cant get the 96 atleast it shud make some of the oder cards cheaper..eg the 3850..or if u just cant wait get the 8600gt ..the gts is not recommended coz at the same price u get the hd3850..far better
the rest of the money can accomodate a cpu of ur choice,decent mobo and DDR2 800 ram…this is gonna gve u far better results in gaming dan a jalopy of a card.
btw if u still regard agp as ur wife the 7600gt at 6k+ is good enuff ..the best agp card is the ati x1950..finding it will be a real adventure..btw it costs upwards of 10k…so decide either be a lazy boy or go get out ..there so much hw to choose from

Dont even bother with a AGP card, you are better off upgrading to an elc-heapo AMD based rig, the onboard 690G will be just a tad slower then a 7300GT.
Also 6600GT AGP or otherwise is not worth more then 2k, so please stop crapping the thread.

I gave my 6800GT AGP for free to my cousin in Delhi who unfortunately cannot use it cuz he’s got one of those weird Intel boards with no AGP slot!! :(. (I was amazed at first but he sent me pics of his P3 board with no AGP slot. I mean…who even made a board with only PCI slots even 2-3 years ago?? :S ).
If you’re serious about buying, I can try and get it back for you. I’m not sure but I think it’s the best you can hope for in the AGP scene in India…unless you manage to get an ATI X1950 Pro AGP or something…but that comes with it’s own set of headaches. PCI-E power connector, dual slot design and high power requirements…both idle and load.
u mean agp and pcix 6600 gt or equivalent card cost same in market:S :no:
AGP is old technology, and unlike in some asset classes comp hardware does not get an antique rating for old stuff.
6600GT is a fairly old chip, and ppl have been selling hand cards for the same price. Both in AGP as well as PCIE variants. Besides that chip will barely be able to handle 2007 games, let alone upcoming games.
