Just finished my first burning spree. I don’t know if I’m deaf, but The drive certainly isn’t noisy. Have no idea why people complain that it is. Maybe the sony version has better damping 
?
Also , strange behavior: cant open the tray until windows has loaded ( ie you reach the logon screen )
i did have a sony sata DVDRW - died in 4 months, gave it to the NP guy for replacement, haven’t taken it back yet as i got a good new LG PATA DVDRW.
Oh wait, i dont have a PC anymore! my laptop can’t even write DVD’s!!!
which one was it
