Get the 8600GT or hd2600xt which have built in hd decoding
hd2600xt. 
Actually if you are not into gaming even a 2400 would do for HD. 8600 doesn’t decode vc-1 btw
If you have the budget then go in for an 8800GTX…youll never need anything else ever!

HD2600XT / 8600GT..
Theyre much better at HD decoding/encoding than the Higher end 8800’s/2900s.
