I have bsnl broadband plan 500 C and use usually firefox or opera.
Now certain sites onlinesbi.com and few others ,(I am discovering new sites everyday) close the browser everytime I try to access them.
In case of onlinesbi.com , when I try to goto personal banking page the browser automatically closes , no matter what the browser is.
Help!!

seems to me that the problem with your firewall and not with the connection. wat antivirus and firewall are u using
Yeah problem of Firewall, Antivirus or Firefox is not installed properly..
Give more details about firewall and antivirus.
I am using kaspersky internet security. that’s all, all internet browsers seem to terminate when I browse that site.
My friend had a similar problem browsers closed if he tried to access usually a antivirus site .
i guess you have put the security module of ur anti virus in a higher state…try by just pausing the kaspersky antivirus and then access the websites…more over u have got a kapsersky ahem version only right…i wud suggest avast virus and zone alarm pro firewall…either one of them is enough…both are free to get…
I believe its a MTU setting that you can change in the router.

I tried using proxies but it didn’t work, but I can acess some sites I couldn’t before(like ntpc.co.in , the connection always got timed out ), but with online sbi same thing the browser window closes.
Didn’t Try that MTU thing didn’t quite understand it.

you mean reinstall ?
Have u got JRE (Java Runtime Environment) installed?
