a) The m/b is darky’s
b) The gfx card (7300 GS rev A.4) is of bikey
c)The ram belongs to Chaos (on temporary exchange basis)
d) The HDD was gifted to me ( a laptop rather) by a very senior comapq engineer about 6 yrs back as a token of his /their appreciation … I had pointed out a major design flaw in their laptop m/b’s …

Darky will be in a better position to answer ur queries…in a nutshell all i can say is that this m/b was released without much beta testing / debugging. it seems dfi and other co’s had some deadline to release it.
it would cost him (Darky) less in RMA’ing this to usa then if he were to to do it locally …and hopefully quicker too.
btw it is still running since my last post in this thread …its a shame i cannot run prime on it since the bracket of the cpu heatsink is “misplaced” by my younger one ..the h/s is just sitting on the cpu. it is not fixed to the plastic cpu socket by the bracket.
this shows i can risk my beloved 3000+ beauty just to fulfill my curosity and “failure analysis”…
now i will pack it up and do the needful for RMA …(before i receive the dreaded phonecall from darky)
