Ad-aware just won’t update. I tried updating manually by downloading new definition files yet it shows the old updated files and the same error when I start it. Someone please help.
Is there any other software like ad aware that does the same job. I alrady have installed spybot.
I stopped using Ad-Aware after trying a-squared Free. IMO, it is superior as it was able to clean sh*t from my notebook that Ad-Aware couldn’t.
The site was under maintenance until today morning - since the 19 Sept update only today I got the 05 Oct update file - try again now.
Still getting the same error.

Downloaded a-squared free 2.0. So far it seems a bit better than Ad-aware. I have got to get used to it. Considering removing both spybot and ad-aware as this one does both the job quite well.
Ad-aware has begun orking normally. Got updated normally.

i 2 have faced the same issue, infact i uninstalled and deleted the registry keys and folders associated with and re-installed…the issue solved…its updatin perfectly and have received an update tonight itself..
Thanks Vishal but I have already updated it. The auto update has begun to work properly again after 12:00 A.M.
