Career in Cryptography

Ahmm,.. well i am a final yr student in a 3 yr degree course , and am facinated by cryptography (the facination increased manifold since i read dan brown’s works…) and am willing to persue a career in the same field… I have very superficial knowledge of computer programming and would like to know what course should I persue to help me “get there”.

I suppose some might suggest to get an MCA(not sure if cryptography is adequately covered though), but are there any specific cources at the PG level in india that can help ?

i don’t know about pursuing a carrer

but if u want to read up , u can start with the various algos - rsa , blowfish , rot13 , etc

Well, I do know Cryptography is a choice subject in final year CS BE, but like most degrees, I doubt it would teach you every thing you need to know, and I’m not sure what other degrees you could pursue to become qualified for that level of a job. MCA maybe? Have you checked some company sites and seen what their requisites for a job of this level are?
