Recently, STEAM has cnducted a survay.

Here it is - Valve Survey Summary

I found some interesting points -

[li] Maximum users use 512MB-1GB RAM (I am inthis zone)[/li][li] AMD user : 51.74% ; intel user : 48.26% (I am in the winning team)[/li][li] nvidia user : 54.6% ; ATI user : 39.17% (I am in the winning team)[/li][li] NVIDIA GeForce 6600 Series : 10.41% Highest[/li]NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Series : 6.26% 3rd Position !!!

and also, 5200 is the max used card in Dx8 mode, about 29.92%

NVIDIA GeForce 7600 Series : 2.99% (I am in such a small space)

[li] This is most shocking to me - SLI (2 GPU) : 96.49% (1,237 users)[/li]
CrossFire : 3.35% (only 43 users)

I was expecting 60-40 or 70-30, but 96-4 woooo…

nice find, im in intel,nvidia category, gonna be moving up in the gfx card slot so lets wait for that for me :smiley:

also most people run their monitor at 60hz w000t :open_mouth:

LCDs all get detected as 60Hz cos they don’t have a refresh rate :P. Shows that the world is moving to LCDs

LCD is the future.

I highly regret getting a 17 inch CRT.

The day i say deejays Viewsonic 2025 i was like wooooooooooooooow.

but if i tell dad to get me that he will kick me out of the house.

already i have spent so much on my now i have put the 20 inch LCD

in my purchase list for 2007.

BTW i too voted in the steam poll.

AMD + ATI + 1GB Ram.

And i am really surprised that many ppl are using SLI.

Why do u need 2 GPU’s for playing CS & CSS.

^almost all people have gone thru steam survey…ive voted in both my steam IDS’..lol

Dont know about gamers but most non gamers have 60hz refresh rate on crt’s bcoz they dont know how to change it.

yup i hv seen people with good gpu’s and good 17" crt’s but they still run even windows on 800 x 600 with the default 60hz rating.
