i just landed after touring copenhagen, vienna, paris and amsterdam… need i say, i have couple of thousand of pics with me which i would like to sum up in a nice video just like the one made by a friend of mine on her last trip using her mac i-suite… before i download a bunch of softwares and try each… i would like to have a few opinion from you people… please advice…
i want it to not be a simple slide show but something hip and funky…
oh k u dont need any extra software..the most simple one tht ive used to convert pics into a slide show\movie so that i can watch it on tv..with family and friends is
the built in windows movie maker
its there in XP and in vista too..
its simple to use..just drag and drop the photos,arrange them in a specific order if u want to ..enter the settings for the slide show..
if u want u can even add some ..nice effects \titles \and music in the background.
once everything is done click on finish and den sit back and relax while windows movie maker makes the Video.
ProShow gold, i have used this software in the past and i really liked it. Its pretty easy to use. I used it to create some DVD intro movies and found it really nice. There are various output options like web, CD, DVD etc.

Adobe Premiere has a lot of slide, zoom and pan type of effects built in, can also output to many formats.
