Thermalright 120 ultima ??? Which cooler is this…
There is Thermalright 90 ultima and Thermalright 120 extreme
Sorry for mistake guys..
Xigmatek S1283 : smaller , lighter, comes with PWM fan and equal if not better in performance with TRU 120
you can use tru 120 clip(yes.. tru 120 clip works on xigma) or xigmatek retention clip to avoid push pin hold.
U r getting it for??
Neither Ultima 90i. Rocks, very compact.
what is the CPU u’r using? also availability of Xigmatek is a factor…i use TRUE and after lapping it a bit have to say it rocks…
I am uisng E6600 C2D proccy and mother board ASUS P35k dlx.
Will Xigmatek S1283 or Thermalright 120 Extreme coolers get fit easily inside Coolermaster Centurion 534+(Planning to purchase) or not?
If not then suggest me some good cabby..(< Rs.3000)
Need some posts regarding coolers to get into some decision..
My need is silent computing(NO FAN NOISE) with great computing performance.
TRUE is the clear winner if your motherboard/cabinet supports it. I haven’t used Coolermaster Centurion 534 to comment on its compatibility. It definitely fits in my Zebronics Anitbiotic Cabby.
Need some more answer for this questions :

Any Xigmatek S1283 user plz shed some light on its use?Is it better than TRUE
Xigmatek comes bundled with a decent PWM fan. With TRUE, you will have to buy that in addition. So costwise Xigmatek is better value.
Also it performs on par and at times outperforms TRUE.
TRUE was undisputed king in the past, but not anymore. S1283 is lighter, cheaper, comes bundled with fan, and works great. You should not look anywhere else. You get Xigmatek at cost marginally higher than Ultima 90 which makes it much better buy than any of these coolers. I myself decided to do away with TRUE because of the these reasons.
Thanks sripad for reply.
Will it fit inside above said cabinet?
if the cabinet has a 120mm fan at the back end, then it most probably will fit
Pappu it has 120mm fan at back end but r u sure that it will get fit inside it properly?
TE members could u shed some light in this matter…
^^i am not sure man
maybe you can measure with a ruler or sumthing
you can get the dimensions easily off the internet
Do i need retention bracket for Xigmatek S1283 or push pull pins given default will be sufficient to avoid any bend in motherboard?

TRUE is a brilliant product in itself, excellent cooling and customizable with a Fan of the Users choice. But can be confusing for others. Xigmatek is good, and so is the OCZ Vendetta 2 above, oth come already fitted with good fans, and are also worth seeing.
Dimension of Xigmatek cooler is 120(W) x 50(H) x 159(D) mm and that of Coolermaster Centurion 534+ is L480 x W202 x H435 mm.
Guys I am not getting proper judgment whether it fit properly or not. What do u think?
Xigmatek 159/25.4 = 6.25"
Centurion 202/25.4 = 7.95"
Extra space = 1.7"
It will fit most probabbly.
Keep in mind specifications can be slightly wrong, and also subtract space between mobo tray and side panel (right 1), and mobo is rised by screws, and processor chip height, minus that too.
Thanks SidhuPunjab for reply..
Some more replies would serve my purpose regarding accurate fitting of cooler is needed..
Also any body using Xigmatek S1283 in this forums could us share about performance and quality of product?
