Now the idea behind the inception is good but after using it for some time I felt that it lacks the ability to search phrases. I like that about google, ability to enter any random unrelated string of words and still get some results.

But the organised result feature is good (if it works properly). It displays related terms in related categories.

The dependence of online advertising on search engines is the worst thing to have happened to the internet (academically speaking of course). There are so many useless pages and websites optimized to get better search ranking and adsense revenue. Becomes hard to find quality content.

That is why I got excited after reading about it but it seems it’ll need some more simmering.

Bah… Google pwns this.. its slow and pretty inefficient, missed lotta results that Google threw up immediately.

I tried it out and was not highly impressed with it. I guess they will need a little time to improve their index.

Well it was developed by former Google engineers so I will give it a second shot. I was not very impressed by it the first time I tried it.

cuil has some teething problems

that can be expected.

but we atleast now have new kid on the bloc.

competition is always good.

and while google is still th king

cuil search results are comparable better than msn/yahoo search.

in time it will surely improve.

google has got some real competition now
