Hi I was planning to buy a 17" LCD and has thought of buying the Samsung SyncMaster 740N one but the price were increased and I am getting the same for around 10500-11500, Now dell is providing a 17" LCD (Dell E177FP 17" Analogue LCD Monitor) for 9200 (Including shipping excluding taxes, tax will be around 4%) is it worth it. The Dell one has 400:1 Contrast Ratio while the 740N has 600:1.
So try and get the Samsung 740N

The samsung is much better compared to the dell…
If ur willing to spend a little more,then look at the Dell 1707FP monitor.IMO the best 17"FP available in India.(I use it @ work!)
^^That comes to over 13k which may be out of the budget.Also as BF1983 said you’d rather get a 19" WS for that price.
SAMSUNG’s all products are expensive like hard disk, monitor etc.
better go for DELL but yaa minimum size is 19" required.
Get Viewsonic VA1912wb-3 for arnd 11.7k all inclusive or at max 12k. That is the best one u can get considering your budget
