DFI Infinity 975x New DDRII Record

Recently, the most popular thing in PC market must be Intel Core 2 Duo CPU.

Therefore, the relative motherboards, which support Core 2 Duo series, also
took advantage in this period. On the otherhand, 965 can be easily let FSB
up to 450~500 MHz, then its price (mobo) is only around $130~ 250. If
compare with 965, 975 is lot more expensive than 965.
I also realized something about mobo in OC field:
ASUS is the best mobo manufacturer in Intel platform
Then, DFI is the best in AMD platform.
DFI has launched INFINITY 975X since July. A reasonable price $200
With a bunch of features, such likes: 6 phase digital PWM, ceramic heat sink,
X16 PCIe for Crossfire, e SATA interface and 400~ 450Mhz FSB OC
ability…etc.
It breaks the market positioning of others 975X, also affects the pricing to
some of the 965 mobos.

At that time, I have brought out 2 defect about this board:
1.The compatibility of DDRII still needs to be improved.
2.The boot up screen and OS monitoring software also need to be strengthen.

System info
CPU:INTEL Core 2 Extreme X6800
MB: DFI INFINITY 975X/G
DRAM: Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C3
VGA:ELSA GLADIAC 790GS 256B3
HD: Seagate 7200.7 80GB
POWER: Corsair HX620W Modular Power Supply
Cooler: Sonic Tower

when I use the previous version BIOS, FSB around 300~400Mhz, What I can
choose is CPU:DRAM 1:1.33 or 1:1. then, the DDRII only can run 800~950
Mhz approximately.

The 9/13 BIOS version, some guys in the forum said that was rearranged by
Oskar Wu….
CPU 374Mhz, Ratio of BIOS~ 1:2>>1:2=>DDRII 1122 CL4 4-4-9 run steady

CPU 389Mhz, Ratio of BIOS~ 1:2=>DDRII 1170 CL4 4-4-9 successfully

The latest version of the BIOS makes the DRAM OC ability increase a lot.
Speak frankly, this model has already far beyond the mid-range image.
The result of DDRII clock can reach above 1100, it’s already a highest model
in Intel platform. in price and OC ability, DFI INFINITY 975X is such a great board, no matter compares to same level platform like 975 or 965.

I’d like to expect the LANParty version of 975X has a better and powerful
performance then.

Awesome stuff !!!

Keep it coming !!

I’d like to expect the LANParty version of 975X has a better and powerful

There’s no Lanparty version of the 975X, there’s gonna be a RD600 Lanparty and hopefully a 680i Lanparty

its e 6300…and he mentioned it E 6800 i was confused whether something new hit the market or wht

yes
I am windwithme:)

Awesome stuff windwithme…keep them coming

Recently, a well-known gamer from Taiwan, Windwithme, amazed every gamer by announc ing on a forum that he had integrated the Intel INFINITY 975X/G motherboard designed by DFI with the newest BIOS to successfully increase the DDR2 clock rate to a histor ical high.
