Well i know there are allready 1-2 topics on about digicam…and i m still posting this…
But ill b making the decision on the spot while buying…so had to create this topic…
Well the O2 mini i have …i have decided…to trade off with a camcorder-or digicamfrm heera-panna(mumbai)…now what i guess is they will shelve anything frm 15 to 19k for it…but they wont pay hard cash…so i have to buy some other product…
So i go for a digicam suggest a good one…upto 14k budget(i know nikon and canon are best…but sony one too are welcome as i already have 1gb mem stick pro duo…which i m using in my psp…and was thinking to go for 2gb stick for it)…or else recommend a good camcorder(sorry no idea which one is good…panasonic, sony,no idea)
i guess 23k is the budget for it…
also i want to know…what is the recording medium(normal cd)..or are they expensive one…how many mins rcording it will allow…or atlest wht doi require to copy the content on a pc..than ill transfer the stuffs myslf on a normal cd/dvd
please suggest ppl…would b really thankfull to all who post
what do u need a sybershot or handycam..as cybershots will give u superb .still pics..and not tht good video recording and the vice -versa for handycams !!
well ill b more happy with digicam…but i guess ill get that for ard 10-12k…agood one…but still ill have 5-6k to spare…then which ghizmo..or gadget do i get???so camcorder suggestion are wc
there are ads on tv frm sony…where the child says papa(in recording)…which model is that for 24k…and if i m not mistaken they looks to b our normal dvd???..will that stuff come within that budget???
magnet, for more than one reason, i’ll recommend a mini dv over a dvd model
-better overall picture quality (Mini DVs record at native resoulution uncompressed which you can later convert to a compressed vide in a codec of your choice)
-cheaper recording medium
-less expensive vs. similarly equipped DVD handycams
-far easier to edit
-less fragile mechanical system
Wherreas for DVD cams:
-compatibility problems between DVD players and DVDs
-much less recording time than miniDV tape (in highest quality mode, about 20 minutes vs. 60 minutes).
-lower quality image
-more difficult to edit
DVD cams are meant primarily as an idiot proof device for a regular consumer who has phobia of PCs…I assume you are not a part of that mkt segment, hence this advice…
Also do not forget that pro class equipment still uses mini-DV
thks superczar…but i m a total noob in this dept…any suggestion regarding model and company is really appreciated…i want to make my decision fast mayb till friday i have to decideand on saturday ill buyit…
the first thing you want to decide is whether still pics are your priority or videos?
both stillcams & videocams can double up as the other, but needless to say that a video cam which would be excellent for video shoots will be no better than an integrated phone cam for stills, and vice versa
so i suggest you decide what do you want out of this purchase…
once you ve made that decision, post back, and i’ll try to give appropriate suggestions
