I bought the A620 for my dad for ~21,000 with bill and warranty. You can get it in the grey market for 14-15K. Canon is now bundling a 256mb SD card and rechargeable batteries+charger with this model.

Nikon L1 is a decent cam too.

Good Cam.. 6.2Mp 5x Opti.. 10x Digi.. 32mb onboard mem..

Got it for 11700/- for Cam \ Case and a free 1gb card !! :slight_smile:

my friend got the cam for 10k :stuck_out_tongue: plus 1.7k for the 1GB SD card.. hehe..

I prefer the Sony P200, its much older but performs better with less than ambient lighting. Otherwise output is more or less the same as compared to the W5, maybe even sneaks ahead. And costs around 11K grey market :slight_smile:

Bought it around a month ago. The A5*** series costs significantly less - less than 15K IIRC. Quality wise, I dare say the 620 is one of the best cameras in this category. It has tons of manual controls if you want to fool around, plus it has a swivel screen unlike the 5** series. Check this out - http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canona620/
