My budget is arnd 200$ not more then tht,if can get something for lesser amount then it will b great!!if not this one then do temme bout sum other option in tht price range,i cant exceed my budget more then tht!!
The SD1000 is a great cam no doubt. I’m not sure if you could extend your budget a bit and consider the Canon S5IS if your a little more into photography otherwise I’m pretty much sure the SD1000 won’t disappoint you
oh .. for your price range best quality performance F31fd will fit 1 month back it was sold for ~$190 ish. but the price have been sky rocketing for that cam due to heavy demand. If you can increase your budget by $75 i think u can get S6000fd

criteria :- B) Flimsy Functions (Image stabilization) and shud b small/slim ,dun want a bulky cam!!
when it comes to photography i m lil amatuer,so want a simple yet powerful cam,which can take decent snap,dun want vry hifi types but then picture quality shud b decent enuf,at da same time it shud b simple to use!!

LOL. camera doesnt make any audible noise. What i was referring was noise contain in the image a.k.a digital noise in the photos. when you click on the photos in the site it will load 100% view mind it will take couple of minutes to load (5 MB per pic like) watch for the shadows and highlights, low-contrast detail and noise reduction artifacts, corner to corner sharpness, color bleeding, chroma noise, over sharpening .. heehee am i going too deep:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I m not a professional soo looking for a normal cam,which shud b sleek and slim(easy to carry) ,its juz for normal use so if u find a gud 5Mp cam which is not far behind doz 200$ wala cam but available for 150$ then i wud prefer tht one!!

canon SD1000 would be good i guess. As anish said earlier, casio’s service in india is almost non existent..so i’d prefer SD1000. my second choice would be Casio EX-S770SLV as its a wide angle cam + rechargeable lithium-ion battery+ high quality mpeg4 video recordings.
After reading the reviews and comparing the features of various model I have decided to but this model. The cost is around $200 in US, but it is 13999 here according the canon website. I think the actual street price is lower than this MRP. I have contacted a dealer from chennai listed in canon’s website and the guy says that the price is 13999. I think I can get it for around 11k after checking some prices of this camera at ebay.in
Do, anybody know the price of PowerShot A 570 IS at chennai? Anybody have experience with this model? What about the after sale service of canon here?
