I want to buy a digital and a video camera, maybe this Sunday. Please suggest some good models which are available in India. Want urgent otherwise would have got from US via KMD.

i dnt know ones in India,but the best i can find is Panasonic GS400.
I don’t want video and image in the same device. I want one Video Camera and one Digital Camera. Total should be less than 40k..

You decide.. These prices are grey btw.
Which is more important ? Better still pics or better video camera ?

The H3 is a nice cam, you can get that or the Canon SX100. Both are compact super zooms.
I had gone to a shops yesterday. I saw all the cameras they have. I was in the shop 2 hours and at last i got

And i liked both the cameras.
Then go for them, within your budget and the still cam is good. Don’t know about the video cam though.
The Sony H3 is selling for Rs12000 on indiaplaza. They had a price drop recently. Btw, it sells for $200 in the US.

12k is a good price buy 14k was the cheapest i could get in Aurangabad with all India warranty.

You could try the sony SR 300 .. its got a 40 GB HDD with a 6 MP enhanced snap shot camera .. cool stuff and very light in weight. I bought it from the grey market for 34 K in Bangalore
