DVD to VCD??

I need to rip down a DVD into a couple CD R’s which I could watch on a VCD player. I have no idea where to begin as I have no experience with vobs and ifos. Any help?

Encode to divx then use Avi2Dvd to make vcd’s from the .avi’s?

You might want to consider converting to KVCD, it will be faster, but quality will deteriorate slightly… you might be able to fit one movie into one CD-R

to play Kvcd’s you would need a dvd player again . the best way to proceed is DVD2SVCD …its a tool that allows multiple format conversion .

DVD to VCD is possible in the tool.
