english to hindi transliteration ??

Just wanted to know if someone is familiar with such a utility that can convert text input in english to hindi, to be precise, not to transcode but transliterate, guess that what its called:cool2:
for eg: I write “darwaza” in English alphabets which converts to text/alphabets in hindi.

Do correct me on terminologies if i’m wrong. I got an NGO project who need such utility to teach rural people.

Thx

I would also like to know.

Is there anything for straight forward translations?

Like if I type door then it will give me darwaza or door darwaza in hindi alphabets?

there was one utility but i don remember exactly anthing abt the software… used once loooooong before… :S

mayb u can check out downloads.com or softpedia.com etc for translators

found a very nice program called “HindiTrans 2.0” from ROVISUAM

the only sad part is, its paid:no: There is a download available which gives u 15days of full trial. The software is really good. u can just copy the converted text to word & then format it, indent, tableize regularly to polish the document.

Full paid version is around Rs.4000.
