Focusing problem in camera

For past 2 days my S3 IS is behaving strangely. its not able to focus on anything in Macro mode. when i try to focus anything very close all i can see is the blurr screen :frowning: . i can take pics in macro mode but not as close as i was able to before this problem. super macro mode works just fine :slight_smile:

can anyone think wat could be the problem :frowning:

I guess you are trying to take shots too closely… Try putting it on a tripod with a bigger distance between the cam and the object and them zooming to max… maybe this helps…

Also…make sure there is enuff ambient light.. most cams cant focus in low light.

Well he would lose Depth of Field that way, besides it would unnecessarily stop down the lens which means he’ll need to use a slower shutter.

@ Rahul - As wolfff said, try some Flower Macros in bright sunlight, if the problem persists, your cam could be having a front focus issue.

Try to focus on a sharp edge of an object and not on a plane surface.

@ switch man i was able to focus on those subjects earlier but now it does focus that close :frowning:

@wolfff yeah buddy there is enuf light but still it doesn’t focus
