FS : XBOX 360 Premium

Putting my less than a year old XBOX 360 up for sale.
Its an NTSC-US version, non-modded.

The console was bought in the US in mar-apr 2006. The MS warranty against Hardware Failures indicated by the dreaded RING OF DEATH is 3 years.
Since the console was bought in the US, the warranty is not LOCAL.
In case of any warranty issues, i can try sending it across to the US thru’ a traveling frnd/relative, so that u dont have to dish out the courier charges.

Whats included in the sale are the following:

  1. XBOX 360 with wireless controller
  2. Original Box with all the accessories
  3. COD 3 NTSC, original DVD
  4. One 250W 110V-220V AC transformer.
  5. Component - DVI cable to connect your LCD monitor and suitable audio cables to connect your speakers as well

Also Included is One Month XBOX Live GOLD membership card

This is a very fair deal considering the prevailing XBOX Premium prices in India and included game and transformer.

Please don’t low ball guys. I’m only open for feasible negotiations

bumping the thread..

looking for a quick sale..

honestly man if u want to sell this piece ull have to bring down the price…considering a new one costs less than that in the states..and urs is also from america im guessing..

Amazon.com: Xbox 360 Console Includes 20GB Hard Drive (with HDMI): Video Games

dude..
i agree with the point u made about the price..
but let me point out a few things:

  1. It is not easy getting a box as big as the XBOX until u have a frnd or relative coming from there. Add to that the taxes.
  2. International Shipping would make the landed close to the Indian price of 27k.
  3. What i’m selling is essentially the same thing as that available in India for 180% f my price.
  4. I’m including a $40 game for free.
  5. I’m including a One Month XBOX LIVE GOLD Membership for free.
  6. I’m also including a step down transformer, which is a must for safeguarding r XBOX, although many ppl might disagree with me.
  7. Games availability is not a problem at all, since u can easily region free games home delivered(and i’m talkin of Indian vendors)

On top of all this, I’m willing to negotiate

I feel this is a fair deal dude..

bump . . . .

bump. . .

Bumping

anyone..

bump..

bumping again.

sorry to jack but where can i get a transformer like that from. i need one for my audio system. im in mumbai. what are the costs for the same,. thanks a lot

you’ll need to drop the price to atleast 11K

and a brand new pal premium 360 w/ indian warranty costs 19.5K just to keep you informed

@sid_donny

could u PM me a link to the price u quoted

also, r u interested in buying the console..if so, then please get in touch with me via PM or post in the thread. if not, then please don’t crap my thread

it doesn’t hurt to read the forum rules before u post.

@mods

could u please delete the OT posts..

1)Called up a local dealer and he quoted 19.5K.

2)Got in touch with xbox360 support staff and they informed me the warranty would be nulled if a step down transformer were to be used to power a 360 with different power requirements in a different region.

3)So in case of an RRoD, the system will have to be shipped back to the states in order to get it fixed and since only 4 months of warranty is left, 15.5K is overpriced.

i was initially interested:)

P.S. sorry for crapping your thread even more:)

Just to clarify to anyone who might be misled, the 19.5k price is for the Core Console. The Premium still costs 27.5k officially.

In any case Microsoft India would not honor the warranty on a NTSC Console irrespective of how you are using it. It has to be sent to US for claiming warranty. As for nulling of warranty when you use a step-down transformer, even MS in US will not honor the warranty if you say that you are using it with a step-down transformer. But they have no way of knowing that unless you tell them. So thats not an issue. The only thing to see is that the warranty can be claimed from US only. From what the seller posted, he is ready to help with warranty.

It would be better if the seller clarifies in what way the seller would be helping with warranty for the benefit of prospective buyers. This is because its not an easy matter sending a console to the US and getting it back. There are to and fro shipping costs involved.

i asked you for a link and to PM it to me. Why? B’cos i might have been wrong in assuming the price of a Premium system at 27.5k.
Instead u go on and crap some more. Maybe understanding simple English is a tad too much for you.

lol..this is funny..u mean to say that different X360’s in diff regions have diff power requirements..!!?? no they don’t my frnd. Its only the voltage which differs.

The transformer has a wattage of 250W. If one was to look at the power brick on the X360, one would realize how much power it hogs. Nobody with any basic knowledge in electrical wud recommend the cheap 30-40 bucks 110/220 converters for such high wattage.

The warranty against RROD has been extended by MS on all consoles for 3 years against the original 1 year. If u care to read the post carefully, I have already posted that bit.
Also, another piece of INFO that the MS support staff might not have told u is that u can ship the consoles to Australia and u only need to bear one way charges. they ship it back to u at their cost.

this forums is full of noobs, low balling to get dirt cheap prices and trying to support their claims with baseless data. so, i’m not surprised
I just hope I have answered all ur questions

i admit that the sales rep on the other line didn’t have enough grey cells to figure out the difference between a core model and the premium model since i called him up again and reverified. so go ahead and sue me. thanks for the heads up nemesis(not being sarcy:) ).

What i meant or rather the rep from microsoft had to say in their email was that they were not dumb enough to fall for our little antics of bricking the consoles due to some faulty transformer on our end because i did mention THAT I WAS IN INDIA and thus any service rep at microshaft with an IQ of 80+ would immediately understand that a transformer was used. They replied that they would take into consideration that a another device(step down transformer) may have been the cause for bricking the console in that event and therefore nullify the warranty even if you or i did try servicing the console at a local microsoft service centre and then try shipping the console back to US of A to get it fixed or replaced(if you explained the story the way i did). microshaft didn’t get to where it is today just on sheer luck. they probably have a well documented database for servicing and tracking serviced consoles using the serial number. both consoles and step down transformers are electronic/electrical equipment. so if a console can be faulty why can’t a transformer too? thereby damaging the console irrespective of the quality of the transformer. atleast that’s what i think janet tried to imply in her email. oh BTW janet was the rep who replied. now everything that has been said above is what i ASSUMED when i recieved a reply from janet and nemesis has also further reiterated in his post. i apologize if i was wrong in ASSUMING so and i’ll do my best to be more elaborate and specific next time while doing my homework.

with 4 months of warranty left and an asking price of 15.5K, who in their right minds would wanna purchase such a console for that price and that’s what i intended in my second post. it’s not about how much warranty period is left or whether the console has a high failure probability or even if the console can be serviced/replaced. no one buys a console in order wait longer for it to be serviced than to actually get some play time on it and pay one way shipping charges(you said it yourself). and that’s why i said i was initially interested.

and i admit i haven’t made to many posts to be called a master guru, so feel free to judge me from that angle. but the real funny part is for you to actually think that you can get away by selling a console for 15.5K under such circumstances. and then go ahead and call everyone else a noob. good luck bumping pal.

you’d have better luck selling it off the forum then hoping to find someone here. mods, do this guy a favour and delete this thread before anyone(including myself) starts jumping the gun and arguing over who said what and meant what. for all you know next i’ll be called a ps3 fanboy(which i’m not) for replying by the next poor soul who reads this thread and no one wants another fanboy war.

dude..lets try and start over..
I only asked u for the link 'cos i was genuinely interested in knowing if the prices have indeed plummeted so much. Had ur reported prices been verifiable, i would have definitely adjusted my pricing/change my opinion about selling my console at that price.

About the transformer. The very reason i bought the transformer was to safeguard the console from bricking it. Also, i’m not forcing anyone to use the transformer. Its an option that i’m offering, and i’m not charging the buyer for it. If anything, the probability of on bricking the console with a cheap converter(which is what a majority of the junta uses) is much higher than doing so with the right wattage converter.

u r getting far too worked up about this whole issue. Had u just shot across a PM about wat u had to say, i wud’ve either done the needful or convinced u with the right justifications. U have assumed far too much and on the wrong foot.
the price of 15.5k is at a good 45% discount to the prevailing market prices in India. and thats not it, i’m offering a $40 game, accessories worth another 1.5k and a XBOX Live Gold card. And i’m willing to negotiate further..!!!

whether my price is right or not, is up to the buyer to decide. I feel my price is fair and hence this thread.

If u have anything else to point it out or report it to me or the mods. please do so..but please dont crap the thread..

Hey,

Just want to say Good Luck with the SALE. I also put up a Xbox 360 here few months back. You will encounter lots of Smart ArSes here so i suggest you sell it some local PS2 shop owner or something ?

First of all people are actually not “AT ALL” interested in the Sale but would like to crap the thread like anything.

buuuuump..
