By Q4 2007 (Xmas) NVIDIA will be releasing their GeForce 9800 series GPUs.
Unlike previously expected the codename for nVidia’s next generation GPU will NOT be “G90” but instead be “G92”.
I have some info form NVIDIA insider about the upcoming G92 graphics processors.
G92 will be released in November 2007 timeframe in the form of “GeForce 9800” series.

65nm process will allow for better yields and better power consumption. power consumption will be lower than that of a GeForce 8800 GTX.
GeForce 9800 GTX will be over two times faster than a GeForce 8800 Ultra in real world games and applcations.
Release date : November 2007. There will be TWO products at launch: The flagship GeForce 9800 GTX and the second fastest GeForce 9800 GTS.
price for the GeForce 9800 GTX will be 549-649 USD.
Lets just hope they release it according to the time frame this time. Woundnt mind to wait for this one just because of the 65nm process. This would translate to lower power consumption and heat dissipation, I hope.
NVIDIA takes product launch dates seriously, however, that forces them to sometimes release products not ready yet… it’s just their business model and they’ve survived.
Nvidia product launch dates have been on time albeit driver support for the products have been lagging..
But what I cant figure out is that the 8800GTX out there at the moment is more then a monster to tackle most games out there.. Hmm, maybe there could be a situation change after Crysis or UT 3 launch..
Frankly speaking, the performance of the current DX10 cards in DX10 enabled games is a joke. It may be because of poorly coding on the games side, but an FPS below 50 FPS for a top of the line Graphics card in any game released within 6 months of the cards release is still something to think about.
