Gaming Mouse Pads.

In my opinion Gaming Mouse Pads which costs more than Rs. 1,000 are a waste of money.

its more like a preference, its not waste of money.

i am sure u can relate this to any hardware, like cheap speakers & good high end speakers. its like asking are speakers that cost more than 2000rs worth it.

every person has diff needs & every person will spend money on what he likes more. like if someone is into audio he will spend more on a good sound card & less on video card cause he doesnt play games.

for normal use, yes mousepads that cost more than 50rs are a waste of money, but for someone who is into gaming & plays fps & rts games a lot it makes a difference in aiming etc & also u get what kind of surface u want in the expensive pads & also large size for low sensitivty gamers.

Oops voted incorrectly by mistake :P. IMHO they are not a waste of money. They help a lot especially when playing twitch games like Q3/Q4/UT. Also depending on surface, the mouse feet wear out slower than normal pads.

I am with storm on this one..

Mee too with storm…

Mods… Correct Chaos vote…

its not a waste of cash. the only thing is sometimes its overrated and people think buying a certain mousepad will make them aimgods.

Lol. Udit gets his answer in trying to flame Storm’s sale.

Anyways, ofcourse its not a waste. It depends on what you do. If you arent into gaming then dont waste money. Sit aaram se with you Wooden Surface of the Table.

like me.u cant get good mousepads in bangalore.all SUK!!:S

I cant vote yes, coz I am going to buy stormblasts Qpad !

Already made the deal, will collect it on Saturday. Cant wait to use the pad along with the Logitech Mx518 ! :cool2:

killeraim. Get Storms Mantis or get a Mantis from Razerzone.com they deliver to India for 10 Dollars.

The pads are good, have good build quality, might also make a difference provided you’re already a decent player.

But as far as the price is concerned, it’s really inflated and a waste of money, don’t think it costs anywhere near 1000 to manufacture them.
Other than the size factor, the difference in feel from a generic clothpad costing 10rs isn’t worth the 1000% premium.

You can’t compare them to hardware as there’s actually a huge difference between such products from varying price ranges (and there are extreme R&D expenses involved).
While a mousepad has as basic a function as it can get. Not to mention there are practically no R&D costs involved.
Even if you spend 5k on it, you are still just rubbing a pointing device on a rubber mat.

Cheap speakers themselves cost around 1500, not really the best example lol.

y can u not compare it with hardware.

even if u go to buy clothes u get cheaper on the roadside than what u get in nike adidas or any other brand, so y dont u just buy the roadside clothes, in the end u do want some kind of quality.

also u wont agree cause u suck at gaming saumil. lol
& no by beating cj u dont become a good gamer cause he is the worst player in india.

Hey Guys,

I was looking for a good mousepad for ages. I have a clan here in Goa and play a lot of CS. I use Logitech Mouseman Dual Optical with very low sensitivity of 1.5. Can anyone suggest a good mousepad for low sensi users and where to buy it, cause i’ve heard of steelpad series but dunno bout which ones are for low sensi users. Anyone?

Peace
-Nervz

You’re noob and all you ever score are matka kills in the matka game that is cs.

Nike, Adidas is same bs lol.
They all use cloth from Arvind mills, from your fashion street vendor to nautica.

The only difference is in the print designs and stitch quality.
And obviously you need some quality for clothing, a mouse has no such implications. There’s every possibility a generic pad might feel better than a fancy one to a particular person.

Basically whatever you buy, you’re getting the same thing with a different logo on it which serves no purpose but free advertising for the franchise.

I am not saying the product itself is a waste of money, it’s the pricing. There’s a difference.
The best mousepads should cost no more than 500rs.

yea 500 would be good for us but the problem is they’re not really available here and most americans wont think twice about spending a ‘measly’ 10 to 20 dollars on a mouse pad.

@Nervz, the first thing you should consider is the kind of surface you find suitable to your playing style. if you like cloth, i’d suggest buying any large cloth pad. most of them aren’t too different from each other. there is one website in india which sells Steelpad QCK+ mousepads - the shopping section of www.therespawn.com

the guy who runs the site told me that the price was Rs. 700 including shipping IIRC. i don’t know if the website is fully functional though.

Wheres the shopping section? :S.

Nervz… If you want cloth, id seriously recommend the Razer Mantis Speed. Smooth and awesome. Surface made by Everglide, the makers of the DKT’s.

www.razerzone.com

http://www.therespawn.com/cart/agora.cgi
all Icemat/Steel series products are on sale at Rs.0.00

yea like i said, i dont know if the website is fully functional as of yet but i can talk to him on msn in case someone wants to buy.

if someone wants to buy the Razer Mantis Speed version from somewhere but it isn’t available, an alternative would be to search for an Everglide Titan. they’re exactly the same. razer just put their print on top :stuck_out_tongue:

@goldenfrag which website do i visit if i want to get one shipped to india?

Does ur offer stand for headphones from Icemat/Steel too?
