Hey all. this is ma 1st post on techenclave…

Me buyin a gaming PC in and ma budgets around 60k to the max…

So i decided on this card (see sub), and serchin on all the forums and chat threads i am getting wildly different price ranges…generally forums like Techtree adn CHip Know how say its is a 15k product (AGP), but Rashi Peripherals, their distributors have pegged it at 30k, now thats an unadjustbale undigestable difference! What kind of markets are these guys talkin about! Thye swing on the either weay is way too much…

So pls throw some liht on the topic people, and if y’all think there’s a better card to go for in 15 k range gladly tell me…

6800GT is a discontinued product.
You can get a far better card in Geforce 7800GT at a price of nearly 22-23k.
Thats a much better deal,if your budget permits it that is.

Schast, I think Switch is selling a second-hand X850XT PE for under 15k. Check the market section if you’re interested.

u can also get the 6800GS for 18-20k but i think 7800GT is much better VFM IMHO

Like darky said 6800gt is discontinued, you can either opt for a XFX 6800GS XXX Edition for 16.9k or get a 7800GT, imo the 7800gt is a very good option given the price difference.

MSI 7800GT - 21.5k

BIG 7800GT - 20.8k

XFX 78000GT - 24.6k

yes get the 7800gt. no sense in buying a 6800gt unless u get it for around 10 - 12k.

since your budget is 60k & ur pc is for gaming i am sure the 7800gt will fit easily in your budget.

also there is my friend who is selling his evga7800gt for 17 or 17.5k. brand new box packed

He said AGP guys. And all of u are sayin 7800 GT :wink: For AGP if u can get the 7800 GS go for it or maybe if u can find a 6800 GS AGP.

edit: didnt read the post fully, jus saw AGP written and thought wth are u guys sayin 7800 GT :stuck_out_tongue: My mistake. If hes gettin a new machine def PCIE.

If you are getting a new machine, dont even think AGP now. The standard is dead, PCIE is the way to go.
Also Darky had his dealer selling X1800XTX for 23k a much better deal then the 20 something 7800 GT.
Wait for sometime 7800 GT prices are gonna crash down to 15k levels.

It is 1800XT for 23K. That is an awesome deal. 7800GT price but performance of X1800XT… Rocks.

Well sorry to dissappoint you guys but as of now X1800XT isnt coming as there were no stocks.It will surely come but at a later stage with the next consignement of cards which will have X1600 and other cards.

Yep, but there are loads of inventory to clear, hence expect cheaper prices.

Dude, I’ll simply kill for that card! The prices will come down to 15k Levels, Ok how much time it will tae for that to happen, till June/July…What do ya think???
OK and the PCIE system…Wont that shake some plans off if i was thinkin of an AGP machine??? Like the motherboard and all that stuff?

the 7800 GT is the best card in the market right now…but if it comes around 16-17k i’ll get that, and as for the PCIE, would i be having any upsets budget wise??

Btw, the 6800GT is available as per the Deltagepage list and retails for 16.8k for AGP model and the PCI Express version costs 18.2K. Brand is Leadtek i think and comes with 3 year warranty..:wink:

Also the 6800GS is avail @ 14.2k for PCI Express..:slight_smile:

With a budget of 15k, what should I look at? A 6600Gt with 256 MB RAM ?
