Just got this pinnacle PCTV for Vista/XP MCE. I read the system requirements and didnt notice I need XP MCE to use it. Now after I put the card in my system I found out I cant even install it on my XP.
Is there no way I can use it on my system without getting vista???
Find out the chipset on which the card is based and google for generic drivers. However it seems unlikely that the supplied drivers are not running on xp.
If nothing else works, download DScaler, an open source application which has direct hardware access to the tuner. It doesnt need any drivers and can even capture video.
This card should run on WinXp. Pinnacle cards are difficult to configure for third party softwares. So, better stick with the supplied one for now.
Just download the latest software (TV Center Pro 4.9) for the card and hopefully it will work in XP.
