Guys, there is a bloodbath happening in the RAM market and it really couldn’t go lower than this. Have you guys seen the price of ram at newegg.
You can get 4GB PC6400 for $140 and $20 rebate. Thats 4GB for $120 or 4800 bucks. You can get cheapo gksill 6400 2GB for $54! What the hell, I paid $280 for Corsair 2GB just 8 months ago and that’s not even micron.
Its like the stock market u really dont’ know which way its headed…
u either buy and be happy after the price goes up
or wait for it to go low and be sad when the price goes up and u lost the opportunity waiting…:@
however, unlike the stock market u can’t average it out …
neways, i guess the prices are gr8 VFM. Consider the ‘choice of many’ the transend 800 is selling under 1.5k…now thats excellent.
Ofcourse the Gskills and the OCZ are bottomed out too…
About stock markets, most don’t know which way its headed, some of us do :).
Prices look cheap compared to what they were a lil while back, but that is not a sign of bottoming out. When you see those mail in rebates disappear (or reduce to minimal) that is bottoming out. IF you want a hint of the next price level of RAM prices - Current price - MIR. This simple observation can be confirmed by anyone who has been observing the RAM prices over the last few months.
YES…coz prices will stabalize soon and will definetly go up as soon as DDR3 is launched which will happen sooner than later with intel 38 and amd 790 hitting the market.
