^^That’s very good compared to Samsung and the Seagate
The benchmarks i 've got on my Samsung and Seagate drives(both are identical 80GB drives with 2MB Cache and 7200rpm ) are
HD Tune: SAMSUNG SP0822N Benchmark
Transfer Rate Minimum : 30.4 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Maximum : 56.8 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Average : 46.6 MB/sec
Access Time : 13.8 ms
Burst Rate : 81.9 MB/sec
CPU Usage : 7.5%
HD Tune: ST3802110A Benchmark
Transfer Rate Minimum : 35.3 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Maximum : 73.8 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Average : 60.7 MB/sec
Access Time : 15.8 ms
Burst Rate : 79.9 MB/sec
CPU Usage : 8.6%
That proves one thing, Seagate’s much better than Samsung :S
