HDMI cable

I’m looking to buy a HDMI cable to connect my Pavillion 6516TX laptop to the LCD TV. I checked out the local ezone (Koramangala, Bangalore) and the prices are insane. 1500 for 5ft, 1900 for 10 ft and 2500 for 5m length (all Panasonic).

On ebay.in, I see cables advertised for half the amount (around 1000 for 3m).

Any idea where I can pick an affordable cable in Bangalore?

Its about quality. The best cost 10k for 1ft

Go for the ebay cables if they suit your budget

But what if you cant notice any difference with a 10k cable.
Shopping for HDMI cables: who do retailers think they’re kidding? Our price list inside.

But does cable quality matter much for a digital signal like what HDMI carries? You either get the signal or you don’t, there’s no inbetween like with an analog signal.

^^ s. you are correct, its being digital you need not worry about the cable quality.

@Anish, where can we find these 10k for a ft HDMI cables? (it means its around 31k for one meter)

In my limited shopping, I couldn’t find too many options and finally decided to go for the Panasonic and bought it from ezone for 2K (3m length). I feel that I paid more than I should have, but I finally have the satisfaction of seeing a full life sized 1280x800 resolution picture. It looks fantastic:clap:

Congratulations for your purchase!

I myself got my HDMI cable as an add-on with Philips Unscaling DVD player. DVD player was available without HDMI cable for Rs 600/-. So effectively it cost me that much. I am satisfied with quality.
