I have a 320GB hard driver with four partitions. I would like to merge the three partitions into one and keep one for OS. Now I used the disk management and deleted 2 partitions now instead of showing as one consolidated free space they are still showing a partitions and I am unable to merge them. Am i doing anything wrong or am i missing something or do i require any software to do that. I have used partition magic in windows XP but i guess it does not work with Vista .. Any suggestions…
Acronis® Disk Director Suite and Paragon Partition Manager are very good tool to accomplish such tasks. Once norton failed to detect my 1 TB drive but these worked fine. Try once
If there is an extended partition, you have to delete or merge the volumes inside the extended partition before you can merge/delete the extended partition with any of the primary partitions.
Yes you can recover from formatted drives, use “Get data back for NTFS” software if data was from FAT32 then “Get data back from FAT32” nice software, will do job well
