I had bought a Hitachi DeskStar SATA HardDisk (160GB) in May from Prime ABG, after reading the positive reviews about it. However within 6 months the Disk now seems to have crashed, as its not being detected in my BIOS. I tried changing both the Power Cable as well as the SATA data cable, but to no effect.
Can someone advise me on how to get it RMA’ed (if there’s no other option left).
I’m still recovering from the RMA that I did for an Asus Motherboard few months back is this gonna be equally painful??? How long will it take for the Hitachi people to get i rectified/give a new piece?
I had broken off the SATA Data connector on my 250GB Hitachi HDD, it was my fault for the damage yet Hitachi agreed to replace the HDD, I returned it to Prime for RMA and it was replaced by Hitachi in about 10 days. It may please you to know that I have over a dozen Hitachi HDDs and I have not had a single Hitachi HDD die on me.
Is your Hitachi HDD under RMA ? got a call from Prime today that “MY” HDD has been received by them from Hitachi as a replacement, I would have gladly accepted the HDD even though I have no HDD under RMA, but then I thought it may be yours
