i dont think..its safe..better get the earthing thing done..
or maybe there must be some device in da market which u can use temporarily. …so that extra current doesnt flow through the device..
but please dont ..use your pc without any safety measure cause one of my friend did ..use it for just 1 day . thinking he will get the problem rectified in 2-3 days by doing proper earthing.
but only in that 2 days ..his motherboard and graphics card fried up..!!
If you can’t get any earthing done, connect the neutral wire to the ground connection also, and make sure it’s not leaking current. It’s a temporary solution, and it should work, but try to get some proper earthing.
Before you plug in your computer, plug in a spike guard and check its read out to make sure everythings in order.
You can get a nasty shock from the chassis or the front of the monitor (if it’s a CRT), but it’s not usually a problem if the rest of the wiring is up to scratch. I ran a PC without earth for about two months. Got electrocuted every time I touched the CRT, but the system was fine till I got the right extension cords.
Thank you one & all for your valuable inputs
@ Indrajeet Its a genuine question.
But i am staying as a PG . The owner is daam selfish. I am aware that the earthing is not proper, infact those who used to stay previously had the same problem.
I am tired of convincing my owner, all in vain..:@ :S
He still stands by his point " That earthing is proper" , which is false
So, i have to call an electrician on my own & have to fix it out
I don’t want to take any risks.I am afraid whether my card will fry up as soon as i plug in :S Thats the reason why i needed your suggestion.
