Guys I am here at jaipur .. lotsa idle bandwidth @ my work place.. I want to download some movies which I can watch at my hotel …sadly torrents are blocked … is it possible to download movies / docus / tv shows like TG without using torrents …? How Top …?
You can join any FxP boards and get connect to public FTPs pubs etc, alternatively u can download them through RS or Megaupload ..
You can even try DC++ as its not blocked in any office but u need to knw how to install it ..
where can I get address of public hubs ?

what are fxp boards?
Fxp boards are the second tier in the file sharing hierarchy .. FxP boards are boards where members share different FTPs and other stuff like vulnerable PCs or coperate servers whose bandwidth/storage can be used for the purpose of file sharing on a large scale .. usually u need to be a h@ck3r ,racer etc to be a part of it or u can just pay
if fxp is the second tier, then whats at the top? and what comes below it?

I mIRC usage is known then you can get loads of source for illegal stuff. mIRC is primary gateway of trojans and malwares
^^ ive tried divxcrawler.. ended up with a pile of french over dubbed crap. ALL of it.. each and every link i dl’d turned out to be french stuff overdubbed

That is the irc newsgroups if i am not wrong. Had heard of it long time back. Its like the background file sharing which our messengers have.
As for Newsgroups:
The Newsgroups are a special part of the internet that pre-dates the World Wide Web. Once upon a time when the internet was still young there were special interest groups that shared information and kept in touch by using a bulletin board type system. This system was designed to take advantage of the internet in a way an old BBS couldn’t : each location had a machine (news server) that would store all the messages of the newsgroups that were desired by it’s users. Periodically these servers connect to each other and exchange all messages that are missing on either server. In this manner, a message sent by any user would eventually get distributed to every server that carried that newsgroup.
A short time passed and the users of certain newsgroups thought that this system would be ideal to share files with each other. However, the newsgroups were not designed to transfer binary files - they can only transfer text files. Stuck!! NO. How about this: Take a binary file and convert it (encode it) so that it is now a text message. Distribute that text message through the newsgroup and then whoever wants the file can download that message and convert it back (decode it) into the original binary file.
The scene is nothing but a collection of Dump sites ..
See each of th releaser release their release onto their “Dump Site” .. Now the racers or the traders race this release to the top site . Once a release is officially at a Top site its been officially released and the member there then decide if its ok or shud be nuked etc .. The Top sites and Dump sites are usually 100MBit servers from which the releases are then downloaded into Hubs or Tier 2 that is the FTP sites which are usually 15-50 Mbit lines ..

@abhisheksahas, how about letting imageshack do the torrent downloads and u doing the direct download from imageshack? PhOeNiX does that (never tried it myself ).
It’s showing an error in the shortcut cos u have to be logged in to avail of the facilities.
