Intel To Use DDR3 In 2007

At IDF, Samsung presented its 512MB DDR3 ECC module. Speeds should start at DDR3-800, through DDR3-1067, DDR3-1333, with an estimated maximum speed of DDR3-1666. These modules should run at 1.5V.

So, this means that Intel PCs will start having DDR3 memory by the time AMD PCs with DDR2 get widespread acceptance…

maybe the quad-core processors would use dd3 mem, intel seems to be bringing the release date of clovertown and kentsfield ahead as early as q4 06or q1 07.

Yup much like the current situation now, and it will most prob be the same, no performance difference for intel on ddr3 vs ddr2. only thing will be lower power
