Is 1 gb DV-RS-MMC worth it?

guys i have an N90 , will putting a 1gb rs mmc in it make it unbearably slow?
or should i just go for a 512 ?
plz advise me

1GG only does it little slow, it wont be unbearably slow if you’re used to using S60’s before.

But when you buy one make sure its from a good make, like Kingston and so on.

get something like 100x speed and it wont slow down.

100x speed?

Here is a 100x speed one:

A-DATA 1GB MultiMedia mobile (MMC mobile) Dual Voltage Flash Media - Retail at Newegg.com

the read speed and write speed is indicated by that 100x

And do tell me what card are u going for as I am also interested in 1gb card

i got a quote of 1500 for a 1 gb mmc.. and 675 for 512.. and i finally went for the 512, NCP brand

Hmm bad choice u shd have got kingston atleast but it will cost more. NCP is very slow, i think it may cause lags in video recording in n90

i got NCP’s MMCmobile.. rated at 100x speed.. lets see if it lasts i got it for 675 wonly..

then its a great one

Does it cause lag when video recording? I bought a samsungs and it sucks :frowning:

I’m getting this -

eBay: 1GB Adata DV RS MMC-Memory Card 1 G GB Nokia N70 6630 (item 9740633524 end time Jun-19-06 07:15:00 PDT)

looks like a good one?

yes its the same one i was looking for

The speed is good enough for N70 video recording

i just made my purchase. Flashman on Ebay for Adata 1gb RS DV mmc.

I searched on the guy and he is very reputed, also on the card. Adata seems to have the best read and write speed. Hopefuly it should improve the performance on my N70. Currently on a Samsung 1gb Rs Dv i bought, which wasn’t even box packed from a well known place for counterfeits, it had a VERY jerky and sucky performance on N70.

Moreover, i bought that s*** for Rs.2500.

While, that Flashman on Ebay sells it for Rs. 1500 approx, that is inclsuive of Full shipping!

The order i made for that item was total 18 GBP, Rs.1500 approx.

EDIT :

Also, along with Samsung, DON’T GO FOR KINGSTON either!! I just found out on a thread on some mobiles forums, that Kingston has bee shipping defective and cards with slow write/read speeds lately.

Right now, for those of you foreign, can get the best RS-DV memory from mobymemory.com. The place is very reputed for producing the best and speed perfroamce of its cards. The second, for people here and everywhere else, Adata. Which should perform the same.

1 GB is worth it … leaves for space for data transfer too … and my 6681 doesn’t become unbearably slow … the only thing that gets slow is the built in file manager to browse the phone / MMC … who uses it anyway ??? FExplorer os ProfiExplorer does a better and faster job …
