VGChartz Forums reported from a Podcast on AllGames.com that on June 11st Sony will be making a major announcement. Here are a few quotes from the PodCast:

i think i have a good guess… prob a firmware upgrade that will include real-time HD decoding of popular video codecs like Divx, h.264 etc… which fits into Sony’s grand vision of having the PS3 as the centrepiece of your home entertainment… since most of us xbox360 and PS3 owners currently rely on transcoding solutions like Tversity and Orb to stream videos…

well, to be honest, new game releases aren’t really much to shout about, be it exclusive to the PS3 or not… if the announcement is going to come direct from Sony itself, then i think more likely that it will be console specific i.e. major firmware upgrades or hardware upgrades…

its a nice stratergy from sony.. since they dnt hve ne decent exclusive title coming soon.. theyre concentrating on upscaling dvds etc…

Well it seems a lot of the Sony PS3 fans who were commenting on the June 11th super amazing news finally got it. And 90% of them were right when they stated Sony Online Entertainment would come out with the first ever trailer of The Agency.
