Well it says there that it’s Release Candidate… which are almost as good as final release, but still it’s no official “FINAL” release.

So I think we still can’t say that XP SP2 is released.

DOWNLOADED AND INSTALLED the one posted by ashthedivx !!!

downloaded the file
turned off the internet
and installed !!!
worked fine on the AHEM version !

man…don’t mean to offend u…but i had already started this thread and the link i have given below to wikipedia states clearly that Win XP SP 3 is going to b released on 2008…the version that’s out right now is the RC Version…

No DX10, and it breaks patched versions of uxtheme.dll (for custom themes such as Royale, I found out the hard way). A fix is easily available though.

Slight performance increases, not so much gaming as for desktop and app switching. Most of the update was security-related anyway.

Not much, majorely securtiy fixes + 4-5 % increment… but i think every boost counts :slight_smile:

Anyways, yes it is an RC version, issued for Beta Testing purpose only and no RC SP3 does not support DX10.

yes RC1 works fine on “ahem” windows without any problems.
