Metadata found on Microsoft’s creative copy used in its ‘I’m a PC’ ad reveals that the graphics were actually produced using Macs running Adobe Creative Suite 3. After the details were published on the Flickr photo sharing site, Microsoft scrambled to polish off the embarrassing details last night.
LOL… Microsoft always finds some connection with Apple, no matter how they try to avert it.
But the best part is this should stir up interesting fanboi fight across various forums. Interwebs for entertainment!!
EDIT : Before even I spoke… take a look at this discussion : Microsoft’s ‘I’m a PC’ campaign created with Macs - AppleInsider
My fav:
haha..i rememberr a similar one..Kiosks in apple shops running on windows xp..
Where and how to make an ad, i would say is a developer’s personal decision..isnt it??
Funny people hav the time to flame on this:lol:
Hmm… People using Mac needing Microsoft to earn… Intresting..
How good Office 2008 for Mac is, is enough to understand how much Microsoft is interested in productivity on Macs.
This news is embarrassing for their campaign heheh
Who cares… someone threw a flamebait and some took it. I’m all for some good entertainment on weekends.
Oh yeah hehe. Trust me, Office works as smooth as warmed butter on a Mac!
well i can find any reason that it sudn’t work as well as on PC
Microsoft is using mac from quiet a long time, they used mac to design windows 95 logo
I suppose not everybody eats their own dog food. I still don’t get why you’d want to use a Mac for designing a logo these days as the standard logo creating software (Adobe PS, Illustrator) works pretty well on PCs right? I’m guessing that most design artists/production people are heavily into Macs and they wouldn’t dream of using PCs (elitist pigs :-p) . Did they have PS for PC in 94-95? Okay admittedly Final Cut Pro is a killer movie making software but I thought pros would use Adobe Premiere/Avid something which runs perfectly well on PCs.
^ Professionals prefer Macs for the simple reason that they allow you to concentrate on your productivity rather than issues like freezing, BSODs, incompatible hardware, incompatibility with new devices, viruses, data loss, so on and so forth.
Flaim bait..Funny that even established members throw such blanket/generalised statements..
Over all rubbish accusations.. No need to say anything more than that..
Its funny that most of the people that diss Macs have never used one for more than 15 mins at the Apple store. Party Monger, correct no?
Some news for you:-
I never “diss” mac..
Even though i have used it enough to draw more than just conclusions/impressions, I dont “diss” abt mac..
Even though i like windows better, I dont “diss” abt mac..
Just tell what i like in each and leave it to that..
Even in the post above, i never said mac was bad..I commented that accusation on Windows were baseless..
My accusations aren’t baseless but are based on my personal experiences. Dude, I paid like 11.5k for a Vista x64 Ultimate copy, I’m not stupid to be using Windows. But for anybody who thinks OSX is overhyped, I can safely tell them to buzz off.
And since your so knowledgeable, can you please explain why ProTools on my machine (specs in sig) always freezes when rendering more than 7-8 VSTi synths with custom FX patterns and does the same perfectly fine on my uncle’s Santa Rosa Macbook?
Or why Vista copies at 4.7MB/sec (Avg.) onto a pendrive when OSX does the same at 8.9MB/sec?
Or why Windows refused to detect my Microsoft Lifecam out of the box and OSX did?
Or why Vista takes an hour+ to backup onto my 1TB La Cia HDD via Firewire and the Macbook backs up within 15mins onto a Time Capsule, WIRELESSLY! That’s innovation for you my friend.
I’m NOT an Apple fanboy, but you certainly do seem like an Anti-Fanboy
Thats pretty good talent you got there to press accusations..
Read all my posts above, nothing negative abt mac…So cut the anti fanboy thingie..
Also, apart from your statement “im not a mac fanboy”, theres nothing much to support that status, neither your posts nor you mindset..
Secondly, Im no where as knowledgable as Kingkrool or other members nor did i claim so..But neither am i a noob, to not recognise false allegations on something that works well and has 90% of worlds computers running on it..
If the problems you listed above are there and lets take your word for it and say they do exist..Mate 90% of the world is happily running windows, so i guess many over here could bring a list twice as big as you did with out much trouble, telling things that worked with windows..
Lastly, its easy to make software run smoothly when you can control the hardware its being used on, BUt when you support as much variety of hardware as windows does, If once in a while things do go wrong, theres should be no issue…
You havent mentioned your list where mac failed to do something and windows did..Ofcourse it would be foolish to think that you would, but then just so you get my point…
His allegations were against vista x64! And you reckon 90% of worlds computer run vista x64 or for that matter vista :S
and this is how a 100 page “mac vs windows” thread starts .
/me grabs some popcorn
@pat- where do you read x64 in this?? Please dont divert the thread..
Anyway like said before..lets stop…
enough shit..but lets just resolve not to throw blanket statements..
/* Joins the Party… */
Bring it on Guys… this is fun!
