MKV file splitter

i’ve recently downloaded 720p hd movies off torrents..while most movies are 4.3-4.4GB .mkv files, a few are 6GB+ single files. So i’m looking for a .mkv file splitter so that i can fit the bigger movies into dvds…and i need an application for that…anyone knows?

Not many hd dvd movies out there… can you tell me which ones u downloaded

The software name is mkv toolnix. u can demux an mkv file and add or remove an audio stream with this and ofcourse split the file from anywhere in the video stream.even i have some hd movies with me..can u tell me which one do u have.i have about 30 hd movies with me right now.pm me the names of the movies if u can..
u can get it here (mkvtoolnix – Matroska tools for Linux/Unix and Windows)

Yea mkvtoolnix is the perfect tool for mkv files.

There is an option to split by size / timecode in the “Global” tab.

For x264 decoding, I have used CoreAVC n ffdshow.. Both work fine.

if u got a powerfull sys and nVidia go with PureVideoHD or do with Core AVC the BEST imho.

and google for mkv splitter.

thanks all..i’ll try the tool you suggested..
The movie list is attached with this mail…
