MSN Messenger is experiencing worldwide problems. Users are unable to connect to the MSN Messenger servers.
The MSN Messenger website is also down, probably becuse of the huge amount of users trying to check the service status page. Its estimated over 100 million people use MSN Messenger daily, and for many, it’s become the primary form of communication between friends and co-workers.
Microsoft is currently performing global security testing on the MSN Messenger service. It’s unknown if this was the reason for the outage.
