My Google Page Rank plug-in for Maxthon ...

Check out the plug-in I developed for the Maxthon browser to show the Google Page Rank for any page. Here :

Why ? The ones I know of display the Page Rank in a new window. That’s not exactly what I want. And, they may not function if you have a pop-up blocker installed. I use Naviscope and WebWasher.

This one uses DOM to insert a image with the Page Rank at the bottom of the page.

PS : You are using Maxthon right ?

I think majority of TE members use Firefox.

Can you post some screenshots of the plugin in action.

The plugin just displays the Google Page Rank at the bottom of the page. See http://pr.blogflux.com/ for an example.

By the way, check out Maxthon, it’s really good.

Still trying to convert some of you to Max.

v1.3 of my plugin released. Enhancements thanks to the Max Forum here :

  • show GPR at the top or bottom of the page.
  • align it left, center or right.
  • remove the GPR.
  • get the GPR from one of four servers/websites.

I doubt it, mine isn’t exactly the first GPR plugin. It just might be the best one though … just kidding.

Nice…but is it possible for you to configure it to float on the window or appear next to the URL in the Browser window rather than on page bottom???

Plus, page load times are effected a lot, which should be, but anyway you can make it retrieve the data faster?

v1.3 gives you the option to display the GPR at the top or bottom and align it left, center or right.

It should not increase page load times, no one else has had that complaint. My plugin just retrieves a 80 x 15 pixel image from a server. If one server seems slow, v1.3 allows you to select another ( one from four ).
