man i installd the previous version of nero 7 on my hdd. .and it totally screwed my OS installation :S
reverted back to nero 6 and everything fine.
btw read abt nero 7 that it has some problems burning audio cds/dvds. in that there is some skipping when you burn with nero 7, has to do the with plugin involved in burning the audio discs… also read one way of solving it was replacing that plugin from the nero 6 installation??
so any one done that?
I have say that there was bug it crash or just waste urs cd or dvd Hope they fixthis out they guys r say that is more Stable there compare this version with nero 6.6Reload

I use 7, but its a royal PITA unchecking all that crap while doing a custom install

is there something like nero recode available?? i wanted it for converting vids for my phone. .the guide i have is for nero recode(converting movies into m4a for 750i using recode).. so any guesses?
recode is included in nero 7. But why dont you use Super?
Looks like i better stick with 6 as i too dont find the need to upgrade to 7
nero 7 suite has got some serious issues man, if atall u are installing version 7+ be sure u install it over version 6 and not standalone
note: only burning rom has no issues but suite can screw up a lot

Well I’ve been mainly using Nero 7 because of nero recode, I agree that it has a lot of bloatware bundled along but I perform a custom install & deselecting nero media home and nero scout is the first thing I do, I havn’t got a single problem with nero or recode so far (I use the classic nero interface & not smartstart or nero express)
Nero 7 doesn’t even give an option to uncheck Scout alongwith the rest of the bloat, does it?
